Presented by one of the Circle's own members, popular photographer Barry Jones returns to talk on 'The changing landscape of the railway scene - from shades of grey through Rail Blue to Technicolour.' Encompassing a 40 -year pictorial journey of both steam and diesel through the West Country, we are promised occasional diversion to more distant and foreign places, which may even include north of Exeter! Come and share in this photographic pictogram from a favourite speaker!

THE PLYMOUTH RAILWAY CIRCLE MEMBERS SLIDE EVENING 2015:
A variety of speakers which will include Richard Green speaking on 'Rails UK 1989 - Part III' and Paul Maycock continuing the theme with 'The Railway Scene from 1985 to 2000,' with Paul including images from the South West, the Greater London area and the Midlands, including when Royal Mail trains ruled the night. This evening will also include two further speakers to be confirmed later. This will be the Circle's final indoor meeting prior to the Summer break. Details of our Summer themed visits will be announced on the website shortly.

Visit to Dartmouth Steam Railway for return steam train to Kingswear and Paddle steamer Kingswear Castle round trip.

Members make their own way to Paignton station
We meet together at 12.00 prompt at the station ready for 12.15 departure.
We join the 14.00 circular Paddle steamer cruise (1 hour) from Dartmouth.
On return, we then have spare time in Dartmouth for refreshments and shopping.
Then we return on the 17.00 Kingswear to Paignton (make your own way via ferry from Dartmouth - allow 30 minutes for the crossing between Kingswear and Dartmouth).
Costs: discounted round trip flat fare.
