VISIT TO THE BODMIN & WENFORD RAILWAY:
The Plymouth Railway Circle had an interesting visit to the Bodmin & Wenford Railway on Sunday 4th July, with around 12 - 14 members taking part. We began by taking a trip down to Bodmin Parkway behind Great Western 64xx 0-6-0PT 6435, and on returning to Bodmin General, we enjoyed tea before taking a brake van ride down to Boscarne Junction. For onre of our younger members, Ben Warren (aged 13), he thought that the day was the highlight of the summer, when the crew very kindly offered him a ride on the footplate. Later, the Bodmin & Wenford lined the two GWR Pannier tanks on shed side by side, so as members were able to photograph a once typical scene. Our thanks goes to David Goodyear, Fixtures Secretary, for organising yet another memorable trip.

PRC VISIT TO THE PLYM VALLEY RAILWAY:
Monday 21st June marked a delightful visit by the Circle to the Plym Valley Railway at Marsh Mills. Around 10 members attended, and we enjoyed a delightful walk down the former Great Western branch line to Lee Moor Crossing, and the former Plym Bridge Halt. We also viewed the latest development on the Plym Valley, including the installation of new pointwork for a run round loop. Our thanks go to John Netherton, for leading our trip.

Monday 7th June 2010:
PHOTOGRAPHIC EVENING OF THE ROYAL ALBERT BRIDGE, SALTASH led by Steve Andrews. The first of the Circle's annual summer outside events received a poor start, when Steve, together with two diehard PRC members, namely Brian Potter & Howard Pow, were met with 'West Highland' conditions. The event, regretfully, was cancelled, but it was good to see the enthusiasm demonstrated by Brian & Howard, who made the concerted effort to join us through such awful weather conditions.

20th June 2005: South Devon Railway class 20s charter
LEFT: Onthe 20th June 2005, the Plymouth Railway Circle once again visited the South Devon Railway, and we once again hired a charter train, this time utilising the line's resident English Electric type 1s, 20110 and 20118 Saltburn-by-the-Sea from Buckfastleigh to Totnes and return. The charter used the 20s in top n' tail mode, and here we see 20110 posing for a photo stop (basking in glorious sunlight!) at Bishops Bridge Signal Box during some of the photographic runpasts, a feature of PRC charters, that were kindly organised by the South Devon.
