An introduction to the Plymouth Railway Circle

The Plymouth Railway Circle is a friendly railway focus group dedicated to examining all aspects of the current and historic railway scene. We meet twice a month from September to May for slide, digital and video presentations from a variety of speakers and presenters. During the summer months we have a wide range of social activities, which range from visits to railway workshops, preserved railways, boat trips, walks and many other activities. If you would like details of any of our meetings or summer venues, please see details on this website.
We look forward to meeting you!

How to find us?

DIRECTIONS FROM THE A38:
Approaching from Exeter, leave the A38 at the Manadon exit and take the second exit off the round-a-bout. At the second major junction, turn left into Weston Park Road. After approximately three quarters of a mile, turn left into Home Park Avenue. Follow this road for approximately 200 yards, and just after the 'T' junction with Holland Road, St Edwards Roman Catholic Church will be visible on the left, with the church hall immediately opposite. There is plenty of street parking, either in Home Park Avenue or in Holland Road. We look forward to meeting you!
BY BUS
The quickest bus to catch that stops near St Edwards Hall is the 61 service, which departs from Royal Parade. After going through Mutley Plain the bus will continue into Peverell Corner shops. The bus will turn right along Western Park Road and will go past a big warehouse on the right hand side of the road which will have a sign outside called DFR Roofing, ring the bell when you see this sign. The bus stop will stop outside Peverell Community Church, cross over the road and walk back towards the warehouse, take your first left onto Home Park Avenue. Walk 100 meters and St Edwards Church Hall is on your right hand side.
